Current Projects
Belinda is currently working on a series of paintings to be included with a collection of poetry dedicated to her mother, Lê Thị Sam, and to all whose lives have been touched by war.
Belinda was born in the United States, and when she first visited Vietnam as a young adult, she was moved by what she experienced. The war stories her mother had been telling her all her life, suddenly gave her greater insight.
"Ever since visiting my mother's homeland, Vietnam, the dream of telling her stories through art has been stretched out across my soul, quietly nudging at my creative mind. Although she is no longer with us physically, I believe, now more than ever, that I need to share my mother's stories with the world. Her stories have a place among the many voices that collectively speak against war.
Her stories matter."
Belinda has since visited Vietnam several times, and aims to complete a series of paintings and poetry by 2025.
